There are three steps to being admitted to our program. First, fill out a medical health history and questionnaire. This questionnaire covers you as well as two generations of family members. The second step is to test the overall quality of your sperm. You need to leave three viable samples before moving onto step three so we can make sure your sperm are healthy and are able to survive the liquid nitrogen freezing process. The third step includes a physical examination by a doctor and a complete set of blood tests. We test for a wide range of things, including HIV and sexually transmitted diseases. More details on Sperm Donor Screening. Once you've completed and passed these tests, you are able to start donating. We pay our donors $50 per acceptable specimen. Payment is divided into two stages, one after the individual specimen has been tested and meets our standards, and the second after a six month quarantine, when specimens have been released for use. We would like our donors to leave at least one sample per week and commit to the program for at least one year. Most of our donors leave two samples per week and continue with the program for at least two years. Everything is confidential in our program. We label each of your specimens with a unique donor number and your name is NEVER written on anything. The donated specimens are for reproductive use only and will NOT be sold for reproductive research. |
